Can soy formula be refrigerated after opening?

Hi, all. We just had our little girl on Saturday, and I need to know if we can refrigerate the leftover soy formula containers that she drinks. (We're trying to breastfeed, but since I had to have a c-section, my milk production slowed down and I can't produce enough yet to feed her). Can we refrigerate her half-full bottles of formula, or does whatever she doesn't drink have to be thrown out immediately?

This is the rule that I follow: after the bottle touches baby's lips, what doesn't get eaten has to be thrown out. It is no longer sterile after the baby has drank out of it. To avoid waste, you can just put 1-2 ounces in at a time.
